Overview
A set of Global Goals has been designed by the United Nations to describe the ways that society can end worldwide issues such as poverty and inequality. In 2016, 71% of businesses that were surveyed said they were already planning ways to engage with the UN’s Global Goals (PWC). These businesses need graduates who have an international perspective, an understanding of global issues, and a passion to improve business and society. The opportunities to experience and challenge the industry that you are most passionate about are available here at Glasgow Caledonian University.
You will enjoy working alongside students from different business disciplines and learning from international leaders of enterprise and social enterprise. Research-based teaching and live casework cover core subjects like international finance, human resources, business economics, and international marketing. Through masterclass and guest lecture events, you will explore real examples of professional practices that have had a positive impact on international business and society. This course can be studied on its own or in combination with Human Resource Management or Languages - helping you match your degree to your career aspirations. Two-thirds of GCU's research impact for business and management studies courses were rated as outstanding or very considerable (Research Excellence Framework 2021).
Entry to the University Programme is open for students who have accomplished the SCQF Levels 7 & 8 or the International Graduate Programme at ISDC Academy.
Note: The Undergraduate Diploma comprises the ISDC International Certificate in Business and the ISDC International Specialised Diploma in Business qualifications which have been credit rated by the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) of Scotland at Levels 7 & 8 respectively on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) with 120 allocated SCQF credits at each level. Both qualifications enable students to progress to relevant undergraduate programmes of study in compliance with the entry requirements of individual universities in the UK with Credit Exemptions. In addition, both qualifications are at Level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
