Overview

The MSc Business with Strategic Risk Management course at Robert Gordon University will provide you with an understanding of risk management in the context of a globalised and technologically advanced business environment. It is designed to equip you with the skills required to identify, assess, and manage various risks, including strategic, organisational, environmental, and technological risks.

This course is part of the MSc Business and Management programme, offering you the option of a 2-year MSc with a work placement. You will develop expertise in managing risks and focusing on business continuity, crisis, and resilience management, covering both operational and strategic issues.

A significant feature of the course is its strong connection to the business world, ensuring that the skills and knowledge you acquire are relevant and up-to-date. The programme includes a dual award, comprising a globally recognised Masters qualification and a Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (level 7) from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Entry to the University Programme is open to students who have successfully completed the International Professional Diploma in Business Management (SCQF level 11): General Business Management Pathway. 

Entry level: Postgraduate Diploma

Successful completion of the above-named course is required. For marketing courses, students must have completed ‘Digital Marketing and Social Media Strategies’ and ‘Product and Service Development’ from the optional modules.
A GPA of 60% or higher.
For applicants whose first language is not English, satisfactory evidence of meeting RGU’s general English language requirements is necessary.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain the necessary visa to study in the United Kingdom.

This diploma enables progression to relevant undergraduate programs of study in accordance with the entry requirements of individual universities in the UK, with credit exemptions.
